I do not believe Kifeas that the entire world has gone crazy, many people are asking the same question, including how an illegal state was allowed to join the EU while breaking their own laws of membership. You explain to me how any of it was allowed? It would appear that the playing field is defiantly tilted, yet it does not alter the facts in international or EU law.
I am not arguing here who is right or wrong, but how can there ever be a solution when the very foundation of the problem is rotten.

It does not matter how many people allow that the GC government has authority over the whole of Cyprus Eracles, it is still illegal under the law. If it is not rectified before a solution then the solution will also be illegal and either party can use this fact if they decide at a latter date they are unhappy with part or all of the agreement. Now where have I heard that before?
Two illegal states do not make a whole.

However you wish to look at it– the TC’s rebelled or were forced out at gun point – with the tearing up of the thirteen articles the GC’s stole Cyprus. The constitution signed in 1960 was for a partnership, legally binding in international law. You can not change a legal agreement without the co-signatories authorisation. Conversely if you can arrange for the co-signatories to disappear, then you are free to draw up another agreement and set it before the international community for approval. This was not done, yet still the GC’s claim to be the government of the whole of Cyprus.
Do not give me the argument that the thirteen articles were only suspended - for forty years? – that one won’t wash in any honest court of law.
What I am saying is that until this anomaly is put right - with or without the TC’s, they can go their on way – then the government of the south has no legal claim over any part of Cyrus and are in fact illegal squatters. A criminal offence I do believe.

...it is an offer to all Cypriots to build a Unitary state which will include millions of new citizens from the EU, and from the other continents which we adjoin. It is a way for 'us' to represent the Nations (two, three, (or more)), which derive from their culture a distinction 'here', to which they add to the Cypriot Identity. ...you must remember, 200 years from now, where we hope the world to be, and our place geographically in this shift.
