I visited the North last year and whilst it felt odd I did not feel in danger. I felt safe in Lefkosia but felt very uncofortable in Kyrenia and as we moved further west to Xeros where the army camps were more and more in our faceI was also travelling with TC friend. Now however, I have received a pvt message telling me that people know personal details of mine. So the story changed and I am not sure how safe I will be. I'd hate to think what the woolves would do to me. Or perhaps is just someone on this form trying to silence me.

Humanist ... Don't you think they could get us in the free areas too? ... with such easy crossings over?

You saw the threat halil made to me ... No matter he tried to clear himself as making a joke (if it was, he has not apologised! ) ... I feel completely threatened by their presence on our Island ...

They would love to silence us... Freedom of Speech is anathema to them ...

It may be a bit more difficult to get us in the south but travelling into their illegal turf may be making it a bit easier for them. And after DT's relatives murder I am not sure am ready to die yet.

Humanist unless you have you yourself have given out personal details there is NO way anybody here can have any info on you. If you have received any threats I think you should expose the ba**ard. NO matter how anyone feels about ones views , nothing said here should be personal!

Grey wolves??? You are making me laugh The grey wolves over here are comprised of mostly Turkish students , studying in Cyprus. They quite recently had their leader deported . Hundreds of GC's cross everyday Humanist what makes you so special that you think you will attract violence?

To Humanist, I would say that on my two visits to the Occupied North, I too didn't feel terribly comfortable, and yes, didn't sense danger. Our northern brothers spoke to me and they were ok in the occupied villages but too many police, army camps and army convoys on the roads and many statues of that Ataturk chap everywhere - even in the school playgrounds. This was very alien to me. Often uncomfortable.

To O. I would say and I know it's getting late but when you have time, can you fill in us less enlightened and less important members and worshippers at your tripod re: the influence of the long hand of the dark state in to the Free Areas please.
