Our northern brothers spoke to me and they were ok in the occupied villages but too many police, army camps and army convoys on the roads and many statues of that Ataturk chap everywhere - even in the school playgrounds. This was very alien to me. Often uncomfortable.

To O. I would say and I know it's getting late but when you have time, can you fill in us less enlightened and less important members and worshippers at your tripod re: the influence of the long hand of the dark state in to the Free Areas please.

bill ... I'll PM you tomorrow .... off to bed now.

Goodnight, sleep tight and don't let the TMT or Grey wolves bite ....

Thanks O.

Sorry, I meant to add:

To Umit.

My daughter was looking over my shoulder the other night. She saw your avatar on one of your posts and went upstairs and brought down a soft toy of Kenny from South Park that I had given her a few years ago and it now sits on my desk as I type, as a reminder that there is at least one member of the northern community (and I am sure there are many others) who is really soft and cuddly and who I don't fear.

Very safe, in my opinion. I go there about once a month.

why don't you call ?

Fear applies for both communities Tim .From both sides there are people scares from each other sides .Those symbols or military presents applies for both sides too . they can be see very clearly at both side.

i never felt any fear from passing from one side to another .
to increase more trust between to communities more visits and more trade should take .

We went over the North side last Monday - quick, easy and painless. We had a great day out and will definitely be going over again soon :)

I don't think so, coming to south, nobody looks at like they need to take something from you, this thing happens in the north.
I'm coming there soon, anyone there that want a piece of me can have it 8)

i cannot believe you are serious. i feel totally free here, never feel in danger as i know the police here do a good job. we have never been threatened or felt threatened in any way. some of our tc friends won't go south without us though, they feel threatened so maybe it works both ways. one friend objected to us shopping in the south, he said you might be buying guns with our money.lol
