The last time we had "Greek style democracy" enforced upon us we didn't like it. It's your turn to try our version now.

Thats just the thing - the true Cypriots - the Greek Cypriots - wanted a modern democracy but the Turkish Cypriots still wanted special treatment like they were in the Ottoman era.

Why are Turks so messed in the head when it comes to politics?????

What are you talking about??? Do you get what I'm saying? What does a system that equates 4 GC's to 1 TC have to do with the UK??????????

I don't do churches, so can't confirm or deny , though I see Humanist posts above re: this particular church.

Loads of refs on the web re: looted, damaged churches in the Occupied North. Here's a web page from an American archeology journal.

Ok ive been doing a little reading of my own & this church was never vandalised & still had Greek Orthodox priest's staying in it, for years after 74.
Whilst looking for info regarding the vandalism of graveyards & such, I came across other vandalism that occurred in the south, TC villages have had their graveyards raised to the ground & now the TC houses are being used to house, livestock. Village mosques vandalised & in some cases, used for target practice by the Military.
So both side's are guilty as hell in this matter.(excuse the pun)

One question Halil. Can you check and advise us whether G/Cs who participated paid an entrance fee to T/C authority to enter the church?-At least this was my personal experience when i tried to visit the certain Monastery.
