So tell us about your choice of Wellington boots... :?

Nope, no Wellington boots are needed despite all the rainfall we receive, due to good drainage systems, there are hardly any puddles around, unless of course the whole town is flooded from rivers cresting their banks once in a while..!!

Oh, in that case tell us about your choice of life jacket… :?

Kiks, with all due respect but what's a nice guy like you doing in a washing machine like that?

it does explain all the shrinking he's been experiencing

I thought it was due to "old age". Now I know better!!

At least that's what my good friend Miltiades always talks about.

It's not quiet like a "death sentence" living here GR.

Yes, it is a bit "too clean" for my liking I must say. I'm more of a "Surf & Turf" kind of a guy.!!

I think it's my destiny in a way. I'm making a full circle heading back home having left Cyprus in 1964 to Turkey, UK, USA, and now Switzerland. It seems like I'm getting closer and closer back to home.

The other reason being in Switzerland is to teach the Swiss to get excited and have a sense of humour.

Did you see how calm the Swiss coach was last night, even after scoring a goal. He barely had any fun. Compare him to the Turkish coach where he was very excited when they scored, and even more, when they were not scoring.

Jesus that guys needs to be on "estrogen medication" during all the games Turkey plays, just to calm him down a bit.

No Kentish, I said "I have a feeling you fall into this group of 'experts' on sports", since you were very quick to dismiss others knowledge by declaring them as being "non experts".!!

You have obviously missed the sarcasm in my post.

One should never write the name of a country's first letter with a "lower case".

kikapu you are an expert in saying something then denying you said it,how is the weather in switzerland today

Not denying anything Kentish. I'm just giving it to you the way it was written. If you then make an assumptions on your own on what I've said, then you have to deal with it.

The weather is just fine. We seem to get all 4 seasons, all in the same day sometimes, and today was no exception to that rule.

Switzerland 2 : 0 Portugal

I was at that game Sunday, and to my amazement, the amount of support the fans gave to the Swiss team, you would have never known, that the Swiss were out of the running in the Euro 08. Long after the game was over, the farewell for the Swiss coach and the Swiss goalkeeper, who were both retiring, was continuing with great excitement. The Swiss fans were taking their loss in stride and were not about to let the disappointment of being knocked out of the competition get to them. They really are a very civilized society in many respects. Is as to say, "oh well, there's always the next time".!!

Good on them.!!
