Turkey showed great character coming back, but it must be said, Turkey were very lucky tonight. The chances Croatia had, especially that open goal in the first half, was unbelievable. Croatia were the better team throughout the 90 minutes, but fair play to Turkey, they got through the lottery of penalties. It's Germany for them next.

I agree I do feel for Croatia. From what I saw (I was down relatives at the time so the match was on in the background) Croatia did dominate most of the game, but defensively Turkey was pretty solid and they did up the anty towards the end. I think when the time came for the penalties the Croats were quite deflated after conceding a goal in the last second, where as the Turks were more confident, so I think it was that extra bit of confidence that pushed them through to the semis. Ultimately though it's the final score that counts, so well done Turkey, it was certainly an entertaining game...
