Are we willing to share our country with Turkey?

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Oh how I laughed mili ! What gives you the right to dictate how I feel about my own heritage and ethnicity ? A typically arrogant GC post.

...but you would rather the north of Cyprus be populated by Turks from Anatolia than indigenous Greek Cypriots??

No problem, you spit out your statement in disgust. The only thing that I have in common with a Greek Cypriot is that we share an island. We do not share a common heritage. However, we can, possibly live together again in a state where we view eachother as equals. Failing that, then I would accept the worse case scenario of joining the Republic of Turkey.

Is this the general global view of being treated equal or the Turkish view which means 'equal...and then some'?? Treated equal as in each citizen has exactly the same rights? Is that what you meant?

If you believe in equality, are you saying that TCs should not be entitled to their lands in the RoC? A 'yes' or 'no' answer will suffice.

Or is it a case where one is more equal than the other?

Regards

Yes they are but only under a unified country not one where 3/4 of the poulation are refugees.

We live in the year 2008 and are now an EU member state. TC's have nothing to fear anymore as the EOKA scum are now a minority. Most of us just want to be able to return to our homes which currently we cant because of 35,000 invading troops.

Remember it was the Turkish Cypriots who attacked the 'EOKA scum' as you put it, first. It's not as if we have to prove to Turkish Cypriots that Greek Cypriots are not a threat anymore - Greek Cypriots should also ask the same of Turkish Cypriots. How do WE know that there arent anymore Turkish Cypriot that will commit crimes on their own community and blame it on the Greeks Cypriots, with regards to call for animosity and segregation???

I strongly object to the description of "scum " for EOKA, unless you mean EOKA B which did not enjoy the support of the overwhelming majority of G/Cs.

I'm not trying to prove anything. I'm Greek cypriot and as far as I'm concerned EOKA were scum. Grivas was a muderering bastard. Its because of him and EOKA we find our selves in the mess we are today. Of course the TC's has their version TMT who also helped create the problem. Anyone who defends these organisations need to kick out of Cyprus.
