A tribute to Bananiot's 4 years of Cyprus Forum membership…

This coming Wednesday, June the 11th, will be Bananiot's 4rth year as a member of the Cyprus Forum so as a tribute to his milestone I've put together a little list of selected portions of some of his first posts…

From his very first post Bananiot made a strong entry with this revelation…
Fri Jun 11, 2004
In my opinion Talat is a gifted politician…

A couple of days later, Turkey’s “destined” EU accession path and Cyprus’ doom was confirmed…
Sun Jun 13, 2004
Cyprus is simply not an issue for turkey's eyropean accession path.... Either way Cyprus is a loser. Partition is on our doorsteps. Papadopoulos (and Christofias) have signed the death certificate of our country.

On the same day we were informed that in the 60s the Greek Cypriots had a weapon of mass destruction…
Sun Jun 13, 2004
We were unlucky, at the most critical point of our history we had a president who is renoun for his anti-turk sentiments and who was the vice leader of Akritas plan that aimed at wiping out the Tcps in one night!

Within a couple of weeks Bananiot had the A-Plan all figured out…
Sat Jun 26, 2004
I thought the A plan was a masterpiece in the way it took into account the realities,...

But if the A-Plan was not to be used he had an even better masterpiece of his own…
Thu Jul 15, 2004
Even if a solution is found where the GC's are considered a minority and the TC's a majority, I would suggest that this is better than the consolidation of the present status quo.

Who would’ve guessed that Stalin would four years later become Bananiot’s hero…
Tue Feb 22, 2005
Papadopoulos is in the corner (along with his Stalinist partner Christofias)…

Thanks for your contributions Bananiot and looking forward to the next four... :)

Regards, GR.

He has made great strides with the English Language .... perhaps too much to expect that the same level of scrutiny could have been extended to his political views and amusing character analysis.

By virtue of necessity for comic contributions, I hope it's not yet time to unbutton the waistcoat and put your political feet up, Bananiot. Your twisted version of GC-liberalism has much mileage, I am sure.

There, I've said my piece, whether anyone was talking to me or not. :P

I think Bananiot might also thank you for the following masterpiece .
WRITTEN BY GR :

The Military Option: Turkey Vs Cyprus

Any illusions of a complex inter-communal political arrangement being implemented in Cyprus is now history, Turkey’s EU make-believe journey is over, and it is now a race to get the upper hand in technology, political influence, and in the overall balance of power because unfortunately it’s become apparent that Cyprus can only be liberated in the same way it was enslaved… through bloodshed!

The RoC is very much aware of Turkey's size, manpower, and military expenditure, etc, so when push goes to shove it will be Turkey that will have the most surprises as she is the one that underestimates the Republic of Cyprus and not the other way round.

Unfortunately, Cyprus will have to sacrifice some of her young generations so that future generations of Cypriots will live free on their liberated island from the Turkic curse that began in 1571.

In the event of a war there is little doubt that the geopolitical repercussions will be severe for Turkey win or lose. Realistically, most wars don't last longer than a month and it is with strategic maneuvers with respect to time that cause the other side to panic, make errors, and then offer concessions on the negotiating table. The Republic of Cyprus can muster around 100,000 men, have stockpiles of modern firepower and equipment…

…including the ability to strike deep into southern Turkey with ballistic missiles so all southern Turkish naval ports that can be used to provide further reinforcements can be leveled. The Turkish air force can be countered by the newly acquired French Mistral S2A technology (this is actually the world’s finest S2A)… """"

There is another one coming soon dealing with BLACKWATER !!!

Oracle , the man who clearly indulged in " tedious persecution " is none other that GR the author of this ridiculuos threat whose entire purpose is none other than to denigrate a great Cypriot . I responded by reminding the forum of the author's own " indiscretions far more potent than anything else that has ever been posted on this forum. The fact that you saw fit at the time to add your approval to such childish and dangerous nonsense is neither here nor there .
May I also say that I find the author of this thread extremely offensive , rather crude in short an unpleasant egocentric Plonker !
Don't get me started now !!!
