Timeshare Salesman

Have you got any experiences with any?

I've just come back from a day out in Paphos and was harrased by a team of Time Share agents in the Tomb of the Kings area.

They would not leave me alone and would not take no for an answer. They saw me looking at a window of an Estate Agent and just swooped.

Very cheesy and very annoying and very pushy.

The use of a couple of well used anglo-saxon words should be enough and if that doesn't work, blow their cars up!

They never bother us - usually as we have our dog with us - a sure sign that we are not just here on holiday!

Failing that, just tell them that you DO LIVE here - find that usually works too!

Say something like:

1. I'd love to talk to you but I must get home to sacrifice the goats or the unspeakable one will be displeased.

2. I'm a figment of your imagination.

3. I can't stop now, I'm a ghost and I'm late for a haunting.

Try this:

1. "Thank you, but I'm not interested."

If they keep on bugging you...

2. "Go away or I will tell the nearest police man that you tried to sell me drugs."

If that doesn't help...

3. A fistful of knuckles?

Joking aside. For some reason irritating salesmen of all kinds will usually go away when I kindly ask them to. If they do not immediately head for another potential victim I will simply ignore them completely. That helps. They're hunters looking for easy prey. They can't afford wasting time on someone who won't even acknowledge their existence.

Or... well then, there's always the fistful of knuckles. ;)

about 4 years ago my sister- in- law and husband took our son on holiday to pafos, because of these timeshare people they said they would never go back. its not good for tourism and the goverment need to make laws stopping these people. i'm sure they did a few years back in spain.
