of course you need insurance . before they couldn't go . By the ROC they were counting as a trading car . by the complaning of the TC's side this is counted under the Green lines regulation now.

When I have taken my zed car from the free areas of the south to the north I have been compelled to take out additional insurance from a chap in a kiosk on the occupied side of the "border". What I am asking is - will hirers of z - cars travelling the other way (north to south) have to take out [b]extra insurance from a southern chap sitting in a similar kiosk at the "border"?[/b]

As a matter of fact,the first rental vehicle stealing incident has been from north to south last month.
There is a rental company based in Kyrenia renting only Mercedes vehicles.Last month one of their vehicles was rented by some people from the south and after swooping registeration plates it was driven across the checkpoint to the south...has not been heard of since.
