Maybe this is the end of our summer.

purdey, now that the 'Mines' have all closed, there is no need for people to live up around your neck of the woods.
Come to Cyprus mate, the incident you have described is surely very rare.

The only thing that I find annoying is the stupidity of the young drivers that race up and down the Enaerios area of Limassol making a hell of noise , but at least they are true to form , still !!
Invited for dinner this evening , I did however insist that there should be no pickled birds on offer , I did suggest some Lambs balls instead !! I was however kindly requested to wear long trousers just in case !!

Oracle did not show up !!
As for Bananiot , he rung to apologise he couldnt make Curium but he made Amathus on Sunday for lunch .The Amathus provides the best Buffet lunch as far as I'm concerned with an excellent choice of wines .It was a pleasure to meat such a charming man and his also charming wife.
I think that Bananiot is a first class gentleman and a true Cypriot. We talked a great deal , he met my family including my grandchildren , had a brilliant meal excellent wine and we agreed to meet again on my next visit.
I was disappointed that Oracle did not make it but nevertheless my 4 hours at Curium were exceptional , again the fish at Chris Blue Beach and the service were exceptional. I'm known for my passion of fresh fish and plenty of wine and I get both at a very reasonable cost. Cant wait for my next long weekend.
My thanks to Bananiot and his wife for spending a few hours with myself and my family .
