Ah..the rain, yes it does rain but thankfully not all the time. Today is the first day in over three weeks I have seen any sustained rainfall.
Maybe this is the end of our summer.

purdey, now that the 'Mines' have all closed, there is no need for people to live up around your neck of the woods.

Come to Cyprus mate, the incident you have described is surely very rare.

I have so many break-ins to my car that insurers refuse me their services. Seven times in 2 years. Thats UK for you. I would just smile at the scratches and thank god for little mercies (mercy's?). If you leave the scratches there they wont bother again. New paint is an invitation for these hooligans.

It is annoying though. Aaargh!!

The only thing that I find annoying is the stupidity of the young drivers that race up and down the Enaerios area of Limassol making a hell of noise , but at least they are true to form , still !!
Invited for dinner this evening , I did however insist that there should be no pickled birds on offer , I did suggest some Lambs balls instead !! I was however kindly requested to wear long trousers just in case !!

Dining with Oracle then Miltiades? You crafty old goat you   I hope you enjoy Oracles 'balls' then

Under normal circumstances Deniz, it would have gone over my head. I only had the car for 36 hours, and as I have never been on the receiving end of any trouble in Cyprus, it came as a bit of a shock.. Calmed down now.

Times are changing Purdey. Sometimes we have to sit back and watch----reluctantly.

Thanks Eliko , I had , or rarther still having a fantastic time , I just love this place so much !!

Milti, did you finally get to meet anyone on curium? Oracle, banaiot, anyone else, or where they all talk and no trousers??

Have a good trip back.

Oracle did not show up !!
As for Bananiot , he rung to apologise he couldnt make Curium but he made Amathus on Sunday for lunch .The Amathus provides the best Buffet lunch as far as I'm concerned with an excellent choice of wines .It was a pleasure to meat such a charming man and his also charming wife.
I think that Bananiot is a first class gentleman and a true Cypriot. We talked a great deal , he met my family including my grandchildren , had a brilliant meal excellent wine and we agreed to meet again on my next visit.
I was disappointed that Oracle did not make it but nevertheless my 4 hours at Curium were exceptional , again the fish at Chris Blue Beach and the service were exceptional. I'm known for my passion of fresh fish and plenty of wine and I get both at a very reasonable cost. Cant wait for my next long weekend.

My thanks to Bananiot and his wife for spending a few hours with myself and my family .

Milt dear, you must never have to pay at these establishments after all the plugs you give them! Next time I am at Curium I will mention your name and I expect fine food with discount!

Baby photos still required!

Webbo , both of these two establishments are superb. The Amathus complimented us with a glass of Champagne on arriving and an excellent service all around.
As for Curium , the owners , the two young brothers , always provide us with the best of service and we always have fresh fish with all the accompaniments , apart from the little one who chose milk !!! I will post a few photos over the next day or so.
