hi halil must just correct your info re applying for the residency permit. it was up till last year after 3 months then it changed last summer to 1 month. why i don't know ?
pythona the turkish army stay inside their barracks. they are just there. the way you tell it is that they are marching around stopping people doing things this is not true. the politics and goverments are what are stopping gc owners returning to their homes. who sold my t.c friends house in pafos? who lives in it now? did he agree to this? no!

Impossible. No one is allowed to sell TC properties in the south. They are protected by the state.

Yes, but you forget that the 'legal' goverment can do and sequestre any property it likes.

I wonder if the Paphian Airport was built on 'Illegal' land? Piratis, please note, more illegalities.

Just going back to the original post, I have a couple of questions. You see I read all that holiday brochure stuff and I thought 'wow, Northern Cyprus has everything you need, schools, healthcare and lots of fun stuff to do. Maybe they even have Playstation 3'. So my question is this:

If Northern Cyprus is such a paradise to live in then why do all those people feel the need to cross over the border every day for work, healthcare, shopping etc? Also, why is Mr Talat even engaging in negotiations? After all, if you've got all the marbles why let anyone else play with them?

Somehow I can't help thinking that it's not all sunshine, lollipops and rainbows over there...
