Brits in North Cyprus

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Postby roseandchan » Tue Jun 03, 2008 3:36 pm

i am very sympathetic to both sides losses. i stand up for your property rights all of the time with the expats that have brought exchange/greek land, it doesn't make me friends here thats for sure. i don't have any british friends in cyprus i don't mix with that crowd. every day i get the shit for what they have done, i feel its pretty unfair. i realise that the uk should have done more during the war, i was still at school then why is it my fault? i speak decently and fairly to all cypriot so just give me a break

Well if what you say is true, I thank you for standing up to those Brits who have bought greek land. I understand that this would not win you many friends. You would not want to have these types of friends anyway.

You have now won my respect.

thanks, i try all the time to tell people not to buy the exchange lands but they don't listen. they see a new villa for 100k buy it and they think they are millionaires. when i tell them i live with turkish cypriots in a village they all make comments like i'm poor. just because of where i live and because its a village house without a sea view. i have to say i had guidance when buying here many people don't and truely don't understand. lots buy on these new villa estates because they think that they have saftey in numbers.i don't have anything to do with them.

A bit early for that.

Only after:

The 3Rs:
• Removal of all Turkish troops
• Repatriation of all Turkish colonists
• Return of all refugees
