KATAKLYSMOS AT FAMAGUSTA

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

KATAKLYSMOS AT FAMAGUSTA

Postby Bananiot » Sat May 31, 2008 8:09 pm

Kataklysmos will be celebrated this year at Famagusta, by the Konstantia beach, on June 15, at 18:30. How about organising a forum meeting there?

Are you talking about the one done in Larnaka? Or is this a different one.

The Famagusta one was quite renoun. It will be on similar lines but the purpose of the meeting will be for solution-loving people from both communities to come together.

Which are the "solution-loving" people? Was for example Hitler a solution loving person because he solved the problem of soap shortage by turning Jews into soap?

We all want a solution Bananiot. The difference is that you want a Turkish kind of "solution" where only the problems of the Turks and TCs are solved on the expense of democracy and our human rights, while we want a solution based on the universally accepted principles of human rights and democracy as they are applied in all modern democracies, so we can have a true and long lasting solution for all Cypriots.

Piratis do you actually think what you want can ever happen? The problem is Piratis that neither side trusts one another. If we follow your logic , 74' will be the soln.

For decades you were saying that 74 was the solution. When you realized that we would get in the EU and that could create some problems to Turkey you realized that there was a problem for you as well.

Today you want to solve only your problems: (1)Remove any power that Cyprus has to affect the EU accesion process of Turkey and (2) for TCs to enter the EU and enjoy recognition and financial benefits.

But if we are going to agree on any real solution that should solve our problems as well: We want our lands back, we want our human rights and democracy, and we want freedom and self-determination. Without solving the above problems the Cyprus Problem is not solved for us. It might be solved for Turkey, TCs and some Bananiots, but not for Cypriots.

Piratis not every TC would be able to get all their land back also. Nobody is saying we won't give you an inch. TC's don't have concerns about you living in the North either BUT we do want to have a degree of autonomy in our founding state. You run the south we'll run the north, we'll give you some land back and live under a federal gov. under one country. It's the only way out!

BTW what do you have to say about the case brought upon the RoC for not investigating the fate of some missing TC's? The court found NO fault.

just another case of discrimination in my opinion.
