Hey Oracle,

Perhaps we could cause the extinction of the lesser spotted whining Brit animal lover. Obviously a vegan.

Issue here purdey ... I know for a fact this is a popular misconception.

The two can co-exist happily, but the red squirrel has had its preferred niches removed for housing ...

Just to correct one of the posts the little birds were freshly cooked over the charcoal not pickled although some of the guests were when they left the venue.

I'm afraid that I didn't like or appreciate the food on offer and if there is a next time I'll ask what food is available before I agree to attend.

Are you talking about the American Red Phoenix ? The English red although a cousin of the US variety is a woodland squirrel, none aggresive in nature and reluctantly terriotorial. The Grey is aggressive and very territorial. The two do not co-exist, hence the demise of the red.
We are fortunate in the Lakes to have one of the largest colonies of Reds in the UK, through habitat management and trapping and killing of the Grey.

I missed out Squirrelpox, which is carried by the grey but is fatal to the red. None harmful to humans, I have eaten enough and I am still alive.

Not overly concerned but would appreciate something decent to eat.

If you are expecting me to believe that people eat before attending a meal at a restaurant so they don't appear overly enthusiastic then obviously nobody told the other guests as they were eating as if they hadn't eaten for days .

The grunts of appreciation ( their mouths were to full for anything intelligible ) plus the squeals of delight at the "special menu" ~ to be quite honest I found it quite disgusting to watch them eat .

I will concede one fact ~ you were right I should have eaten before I arrived at the restaurant as it was obvious that those in the know and didn't like that particular food had done as they and their children only ate the salad and the chips .

It's a bit of a waste of money to pay £8 a head for roughly half of those attending not to actually eat anything.

I don't understand Phoenix, when asked out for a meal is it not the done thing to eat... Is it common practice for Cypriots to not think of food when going out to eat ? Maybe I have been visiting another Cyprus, the people I know eat to live in huge quantities.
