Gravox? The plates were made from Australian Gravy? Paphitis will know what i mean.

I think education is visiting as well as reading about the place. I have been twice, the menus were a little difficult to read but I cannot recall Sweet&Sour Pork, or is it No 53 ?
I am sure they serve it in some tourist places, but it does seem a little harder to find in China as opposed to the UK.

i agree jojo, haven't had a decent chinese meal out in 2 years. if you find any decent chinese restaurants let me know. i usually cook at home, i'm not masterchef but i can cook better than most of the places who claim to have chefs.

I will see....if feasable I`ll be there next year!
Have a good espresso....if you can`t ...wait for me next year!
Rob.

Espresso is widely available, but till so far I could not order:
- Ristretto
- a real Italian cheese platter (Formaggi misti)
- Grappa

But there are some fine Italian restaurants here, just not 100% I guess..

 Whoever said that authentic Chinese is classified as "food"? Image

Before you say we are fussy, we are not.

:? You eat authentic Chinese and you call yourself "fussy"??? Image

Not even Boomerang, who is probably in China every month can handle authentic Chinese for too long without getting a stomach pump when he returns home...

I am not talking about dogs balls and the rest of that. I am talking about the other dishes such as monglian lamb, satay beef etc etc.

Satay is not Chinese but Indonesian. Look, real Chinese food is DISGUSTING and most people's dogs wouldn't even touch it, let alone European people. The stuff they call "Chinese" in Europe is nothing but a cosmetic oriental label.

I mean, have a look at Boomers and see what happens to those exposed to real Chinese food...
