But just try getting through security with a carry on bag which doesn't completely fit in the bag check device :x

B***ards made me check in my airline certified carry on bag. No problems anywhere else, just LHW. I'm sure they've had a custom bag checker made just to piss people off.

Hey, steady on.

Now your asking for trouble!

If I did not understand that other Cypriots look at Pafos with green envy, I would be giving you the Paphitico treatment.

Thank your lucky stars that I can appreciate the fact that in Cyprus there are 2 types of Cypriots.

Paphites and wannabe Paphites.

But then again, in every flock there is a black sheep. And our black sheep is Miltiades.

Forgive my assumption fellow Paphitis, that I may know better what dear Eliko is conveying than yourself ... maybe it is blind optimism and wishful thinking .... but my interpretation of his statement is that the respect he suggests Paphos is lacking / in dire need of is due to the great number of (disrespectful) expats which permeate that unfortunate corner of "Olde Englande" and not due to any lack-of by the (historical) natives .... (such as moi! :D ).

Get it?

Did I say anything?

My comments were just tongue and cheek and not directed towards you or anyone else (expats or otherwise) for that matter. Well maybe just a cheap dig at good old Miltiades but thats it!

My post was just a cheap attempt to jokingly inspire some Cypriot parochialism. :?

Yes, it is strange how they do that... :x

Then you are sitting in your seat and somebody comes down the isle with a case the size of the Isle of Wight!

They're clueless.

Two things please.

1. Not terribly fond of lager beers so when we travel to the Free Areas my priority is to try and find room in the cases for a small number of well wrapped bottles (or perhaps cans) of my favourite English ale as an occasional evening treat.

2. I think however if I was travelling to the Occupied Territories I would follow the example of others and take several millions of pounds from various bank heists.
