We Plan To Host Every Turkish Citizen In Northern Cyprus At Least Once, Muslu
Published: 5/29/2008

ADANA - A senior level tourism official from the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) said Tuesday the TRNC plans to host every Turkish citizen in TRNC at least once.

Speaking in southern province of Adana as part of the TRNC Promotion Days, Turgut Muslu, a high level official from the TRNC's Ministry of Economy and Tourism, said that TRNC's tourism promotion began in the Turkish capital of Ankara and continued in Kayseri.

"We are working to help develop TRNC's tourism. We want to make sure that every Turkish citizen visits the TRNC at least once. We want to offer our cuisine, hospitality, customs, traditions, 9,000 years and natural beauties to Turkish citizens. There are many reasons as to why the Turks should choose the TRNC for their vacations. We share the same language, religion, monetary currency, and traditions. The TRNC is only 65 kilometers away from Turkey. Turks can enjoy the beaches of TRNC after a flight of only 1-2 hours", Muslu said.

Boomers it's the history of the island neither belongs to you or me. It belongs to the island, which belongs to all Cypiriots. If it read " 9000 years of TC or Turkish" history I would understand your point .

History is made my people Umit..not land. If it was just the land making the history then it would be a geological event.

Ancient names and cities such as Salamis, their stories told by Herodotus were built by people.

Most of thes names are now anathema to the regime in the north. They survived 1000's of years as your tourist guide boasts only to have thje names and history switched now by the allmighty icons of the 21st century denktash and talat.....

Greeks never existed in the north....it was a rumour.

Firstly I hate "brother Gul" and anything to do with AKP or Erdogan. It's sad you had to interpret the 9000 year old history bit in the way you did. I'm glad you didn't team up with "Tamagotchi Oracle" for a bullshit spree.
