Procedure of Selling Car?

Postby Sega » Tue May 27, 2008 4:13 pm

Dear Everybody,

I know it's been a while since I have posted something.

Anyhow I am thinking of selling my car and purchasing a more economical automobile, the only downside is that I am unaware of the Cypriot procedure of doing something like this, granted it might be similar to the English procedure but since I am relatively young I am unaware of this proceedure as well. Any information would be much appreciated.

I am worried about being scammed, what if somebody check bounces? How does the person who gives me cash know that I will put the car in his name?

So many questions, and as you can guess my Cypriot relatives don't really sell cars. It seems to be popular to have them until they are not worse selling.

Any comments would be much appreciated.

Kind Regards,
Sega

I have never sold a car privately, always part-ex. It's easier.

I am hoping to sell my vehicle and purchase a more economical one due to the long distances I travel. I can cut my expenses by half by purchasing an economical vehicle. I was thinking of selling my vehicle privately.

Its a VW Golf. It's a nice car, drives buitifully and a solid one at that, but before I put it for sale I need to understand the procedure.
