I have heard that an annual event 'Raft Racing' is to be held shortly in the Larnaca Area and wonder if anyone can furnish a little information as to the exact location/date etc, also is it an event which is well attended by the general public and is there any public participation. ?

It's on CESSAC beach, which is opposite the south gate to the garrison entrance and it's next saturday 31st May. Coming from Larnaca heading East on the coast road, just keep going until you get to the Garrison, then it should be signposted. Not sure what time it starts, but if you're there for 9am, you won't miss anything.

It's 62 Sqn that run it, so they are the people to talk to. We won it last year, and will win it again this year no doubt.
