As other people have suggested, if you tread on the wrong toes and try to compete with well-established local businesses, you might be in for a rough ride. If, however, like me you are using Cyprus as a basis for accessing the global market, you will attract no hostility from local vested interests.


Thanks for your comments. We are not intending to compete with any Cypriot companies. We would be using Cyprus like you to access the global markets and make use of the tax friendly environment. Do you know what the position is if you take any money out for yourself and have it transfered to a foreign (pos. UK) bank ?

I don't know about that. I am 100% resident in Cyprus and pay all my taxes here.
