Driving standards in Cyprus, are they getting better?

Feel free to talk about anything that you want.

All very civilised.

Purdey, I am glad you feel that way. It is our way of life.

Driving has definitely improved on the whole although there are more police out with speed guns and spot checks at night on drink driving and documents etc.

I'd say the biggest problem was all the yobs flying around Napa on those damned quads in huge gangs mid-season. I saw one gang of west london garage heads (you know who i mean) and they were tearing around outside mcdonalds then driving up and down at high speeds throwing water over innocent people walking on the streets. absolutely attrocious behaviour like pigs. made all the worse by the fact that 10 minutes later i was pulled over in a nearby village and fined £85 for setting off from a shop without my seatbelt on (I'd literally just pulled out of the shop car park - fair enough i was in teh wrong) but they had set up a cordon to pull people in the village. anyway, I told them to get themselves to Napa to sort the problems out there - they told me they'd been drafted in from Nicosia to target the villages!!!

Typical eh?

Yep - i believe they were all from London and they beseiged the area for 3 weeks! The mayor said it won't be happening next year and he's shutting down 2 of the clubs that they come over here to go to. Apparently...x

Garage Head, strange name for a gang. Is this with reference to music, pre fab parking areas or integral parking areas ?

When I first read about these "garage heads from London" I thought they were a bunch of motor mechanics. Now I get it, music, getting old. :D

We have the same in the North with the 'London Cyps', though thankfully not to that degree, they insist on ending every exclaimation or sentance with 'Innit',
