The golf course is very impressive and anywhere around there is beautiful, you are in the minority about thinking there will be a solution in our life times anyway.

Actually VP, the longer it takes to find peace, there's going to be more people who will lose their shirts who has/are investing in GC properties in the north. With time, the land value will keep on rising, which by the time peace comes, the legal owner/family will benefit from their properties appreciation in value in the north. Same for the TC's land in the south of course. It will be those who paid very little for the land before and now and built their dream homes on them, will have to pay many times more for the land than what the dream house cost to build.

True, and WOW!! what about the actual golf course? Maybe similar compensation as larnaca airport? Or will the Greek Cyp landowner get it all? Is land appropriated by the government viewed differently (as far as compensation goes) to that used by individuals such as golf courses and holiday villages?

i agree with bill,'the exchange land ' is sold by estate agents and the trnc goverment. many people don't understand what this means.

The majority do not believe there will ever be a solution and now they dont even take the current meetings seriously, we've seen it all before. You maybe an optimistic but in time you will realize that the chasm is to wide to bridge and without major compromise we are living the best it will get and those purchasers investments look pretty safe from here, they are enjoying the TRNC 100%.

Tess, sorry for bursting your bubble, but Larnaka airport is seating on 800 donums of land and only about 50 belong to TCs! The rest have been appropriated from GCs!
