A mass grave which contains the remains of more than 30 Turkish Cypriots have been reached in the village of Yerasa in South Cyprus.

The remains belong to Turkish Cypriots who were killed in Taskent massacre.

The Turkish Cypriot member of the Committee of Missing Persons Gulden Plumer Kucuk told BRT that the excavation works which have been carried out for 10 months in Yerasa will be completed when the remains of 10 more missing persons will be exhumed.

She also added that excavation works are continuing in 4 different areas both in North and South Cyprus.

The website of the Committee on Missing Persons has been put into service.
All related information on the issue of missing persons is now available on the website- www.cmp-cyprus.org - in Turkish, Greek and English.
The Turkish Cypriot Member of the Committee Gulden Plumer Kucuk said those having any information about the missing persons could send e-mails to the address which will be used by the Committee to broaden its work on the issue.
She noted that visitors will also have the opportunity to get their questions answered regarding the issue of missing persons.

Maybe because the Turks are more thorough at annihilating and removing evidence / burying deeper, since they have more experience of such matters, usually managing numbers in the millions .....
