I was pretty sure she was Cypriot. My aunt went to school with her in the 60s/70s and she was at my aunt's wedding. I know she lived in tottenham before she got her big break and it had a big Cypriot population at the time.

Maybe she just put 'Greek' on the website because some people recognise Greece but have no idea about Cyprus?

from one thing i have learned on this forum is that there is a difference between greek and cypriot. i speak english, that doesn't make me english. i am american (and proud of it.) if she was cypriot, why wouldn't she claim what is rightfully hers, instead of hiding behind greece?

She is not hiiiding behind Greece! She is simplifying things for some people who do not know the difference between Athens Georgia and Athens Greece, let alone Cyprus. Dont play thick!

I also just remembered Jake and Dinos Chapman to add to the list. They're 'conceptual artists' quite famous in the art world. I wont post a link to any of their work though, it's not my cup of tea and probably not a lot of other people's either.
