Hi!

I have question about internet in laptop. Whan i will get to the Cyprus Island were and how can i get internet for my laptop (gprs, edge..) How much it's cost and do I must sing a contract for 1 or 2 years??

Yes and please may I also ask, can you get really good fast broadbank like 8mb minimum upto 24mb connections ??

you can get 10mb cable but for 99 euros a month... also netway do adsl 8meg i think about 100 euros also a month

I got 8MB connection and I am paying about 60 euros per month at work and 1.5MB connection at home at a cost of 25 Euros per month...

How on earth can the prices be so expensive in a tiny place like Cyprus?

Hit the nail on the head there - less subscribers to share the infrastructure costs than larger countries, plus all traffic has to go via undersea cables (expensive) or satellite.

yes but its cable internet.. its faster then adsl, with adsl you have to be right next to the exchange to get good speeds... http://www.cablenet.com.cy/ with a 1mbit upload, when i move to lemesos i am going to get this connection atm in my village i can only get adsl 1mbit

it is robbery places like sweeden have 100mbit for less then we charge for 10, but eventually the prices will drop the 10mbit used to be £200 cypa month

and how many people pay for this connection in cyprus even for the 8 for 60euro a month? ust universities and colleges mainly i am guessing and offices for work like you, you say you have the 8 for work not home..
