atcanews.org - factual or antigreek propaganda machine?

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

atcanews.org - factual or antigreek propaganda machine?

Postby Main_Source » Tue Apr 26, 2005 12:51 am

After reading this website, I couldnt help but laugh at this site. The information leans so far to one side, its almost falling over.

It seems like every single piece of text in this website has either blatent or underlieing overtones to paint everything that is Greek in a negative light (It's also very contradictive). I would like some feedback, espcially from TC.

...but please, dont take this as a dig toward TC, its not. I honestly see this site as a joke but would like to know how many TC agree with the general views of this site.

Oh yeah, if there are any GC sites on a genuinely level pegging...please let me know.

Insan, could you cut and paste or give me a link from any of these sites...that portrays TC as bad people in general.

Because I could do vice versa with ATCA.

Just visit them and examine for 5 minutes. You'll find a lot by yourself. You don't need my help. All of those propaganda websites draw a totally one sided picture that imply the readers how angel the GCs are and how evil the Turks are.

I have read those sights...and I have seen how they are against the policies of the Turkish government...but they are not set up to knock down and vilify everything to do with Turkish culture, Turkish peoples, etc.

Again, paste me a few examples which tries to knock down the Turkish peoples or culture in general...please, I want to see. I dont belive that everything Greek is as good as gold, trust me lol.

Anyway, you havent given me your views on ATCA...your just trying to squabble with a GC for the sake of it as usual.

Here are my views about ATCA as a TC. I consider ATCA as one of those one-sided sites that only portray one side of the story. I believe most people in charge of the site were born and lived in England or Australia all their lives so I think they're out of touch in terms of what TCs on the island want and think about the Cyprus problem. As Insan said, there're plenty of GC websites of similar nature.

Main_Source, here is a little quote from the official website of Republic of Cyprus about the history of Cyprus. http://www.cyprus.gov.cy

"Relations between the two communities had for centuries been peaceful and amicable. But a conflict of aims after independence with the Greek Cypriot side determined to preserve the unity of the state and the Turkish Cypriot leadership, at the strong urging of Turkey, seeking partition – led to brief intercommunal clashes in 1963, 1964 and 1967 and the withdrawal in December 1963 of the Turkish Cypriots from the administration and legislature."

But the blame on mame boys, but the blame on mame!

That piece of writing from RoC is partly true but I admit it doesnt mention the dreadful actions of EOKA B.

Again, show me a website that is blatently anti-Turkish in every single way, like how ATCA is blatently anti-Greek in every single way.
