I apologise for the pain that my community caused the GCs and sympathise with those famalies that lost loved ones, unfortunately the same sentiments are never returned by GCs you yourself with oracle have spun every excuse in the book not to accept your own shame and disgrace, I expect you will have any emapthy or compassion towards us, our losses and suffering to be big enough to apologise.

I will become an amateur Forensic Scientist like GR. Except that I have worked in a pathology lab for a short period and did not enjoy it a bit.
These poor souls whoever they are did not need to be de-capitated deliberately. During the putrefaction process the tendons and other connective tissues would have decomposed. Lifting the trunk of the body without supporting the head/skull will culminate in the skull simply falling away. It happens.
It seems they were disinterred inexpertedly.

That suggests they were well decomposed then and not just a few weeks old as iceman suggested, and VP inferred if they were TC victims from Murataga ......

I expect you to know that putrefaction will depend on the type and moisture content of the soil and more so the prevailing temperatures, which must have been very hot for that time of the year, wouldnt you say. Even the clothes they wore and the injuries they suffered would have added different states of decomposition to different bodies.

Yes it was Summer, the soil would have been dry ... they would not have decomposed under the dry soil they would have dried and hardened (but not much in only a few weeks at all!) ... The dry conditions do not suit bacterial growth which is necessary for fast decomposition ... Also there are very few earthworms in dry soil ... (I have not seen a single one since I've been to Cyprus ).
