Get real is correct with his post on every other reading being estimated except that he has shown the bills come every month when in actual fact they are every two months

last year i had not been over for 6 months and had both water and electric cut off, when i eventually got back to cyprus it took within 24 hrs to connect water and 48 to connect elecrtic as they said th workmen come from larnaca (i know, the other side of the world )
i just had to pay my arrears and reconnection fees in total was about 60cyp.

If you think that your electricity has been nicked by on-site contractors, you should have changed your locks as soon as you got possession which is standard practice when buying from a developer.

However I am more inclined to suspect the estimate route, it's happened to me quite often that I get inflated bills (not cut off) when an estimate is used.

There is another problem with estimates, if they over estimate you can get charges at a higher rate for some of the units they think you used and the next bill may be below the rate threshhold, so you have been screwed!
