About time we too adopt the Euro in the UK , just look what a rip off it is when changing your Stg to Euros or visa verse, Selling rate of Euros 1.19 to the pound , buying them back 1.39 Euros to the pound , some 20% spread , if your flying with either First Choice , Thomas Cook you are charged 1.69 euros to the pound !!!
Euro is the most powerful and steady currency the world over , think I will change my name to MiltiEuro !!!

Strongly agree

I can't comment for what it may or may not have done for the Cypriot economy in general as I don't have the knowledge but believe from what I've heard that other countries are considering leaving it.
I can comment from my own personal perspective as my mortgage has gone up £200 due entirely to the exchange rate so I am not a happy bunny.

Just had an inspirational idea. Why not drop the Greek and Turkish in front of Cypriot and substitute it with a much more acceptable "currency " , let us call all Cypriots EUROCYPRIOTS , no more Turkish and Greek , so here we have it , well some have more than others , introducing the new Cypriot the mighty EuroCypriot .

Why not simply Cypriots? :?

Then you will still have the curse of the two nations , but E/C cuts out the "middle man " !!!
