It is far from been civilized CanDiaz. Food mountains, wine and milk lakes, waste of huge proportians. Member states constantly argue, wanting a bigger share of the family pie.

But, i was earning (Protaras Bar Staff) 400 Cyptiot Pounds and now they want give me only 600 euro :(

Errrmm ok, kind of lost me there tho, or are Cypriot politicians the real thing, because where im from they're not worth the 5minutes it takes to vote for them & from what i read & hear, the Cypriot Government makes ours look like a futuristic stream lined process of Governance!

can someone explain why the bank in south cyprus needs to change sterling into cyprus pounds, before converting into euro?

they haven't paid enough tax yet or had their jobs taken by other europeans that will work for less.

I don't know.............But maybe for extra charges? They do that here - convert sterling to Lira and then to Euro - double wammy for them and YOU pay!! I even paid tax on the charges!!!!

i usually use my card from bank of scot offshore they just change at that day and times rate. straight from sterling to euro. they are also giving a better rate than the banks and exchanges.

Am I happy????? Of Course I'm Happy. Greece got it in 2004 and they'll get it again in 2008!!! :lol:
