This is an absolute disgrace!!! 500 Apoel supporters coudn't even strangle 2 little kids. No wonder Apoel can't win the cup. :)

FFS!!! We DID win the bloody cup pello Armeni  You're all in on this to wind me up aren't you?

There is a group of 16 year old misfits who have a pint of KEO before a game and think they're SPartans but sooner or later someone will give them a whooping and they'll learn. Unfortunately every team in the world has these idiots, Apoel just seems to demonstrate them more frequently.

Nil...I imagine you're very much alike these glue sniffers and will not bother with you.

As for the 2 skinny wimps Iceman and GR (one needs a Nicos to hide behind) You're jealosy of my youth and vitality is understandable.

The Apoel funs are an absolute disgrace for Cyprus, especially those hiding behind the brand name of the “organized” ones called “the orange!” Most of them are a mob of youngsters that originate from the middle and “upper” classes of the most conservative, nationalist and “god fearing” families of Nicosia, sons and even daughters of the most prosperous families of Cyprus but who are in most cases psychologically problematic and frequent drag users, living off family money! When it comes to joining the army, they are the first ones to seek favoritism in order to have an easy life, and in many cases pretend the psychologically unstable to spare themselves from doing their army duty, while at the same time they are portraying the most “brave” and “patriotic” when they are together as a mob! They even choose to disgrace the Greek flag through its systematic overuse, while they are committing their acts of hooliganism. It is no wonder they are the least likable supporters by those of other clubs in Cyprus, and they are in bad terms with nearly all of them, including those of clubs sharing similar far rightist ideologies! They are in bad terms with the supporters of Apollon, Anorthosis and Ael, and they always have clashes with them whenever their teams play with each other! The only time they seem to behave is when they play against Omonia, only because they are careful not to clash with them for they know the others are equally vicious but much more numerous, and they know they wouldn’t stand a chance!

This is the sad truth, DT, about the "organized" fans of the team you support!

Now that sounds more like the Cyprus my Dad describes, when i voice my concerns about him living in Nicosia, to him.
Reading the responses that are given & the unbelievable bias displayed by Cypriots, on any subject that is detrimental towards Cyprus, is borderline fanatical & pathetic, to put it mildly!

This is no more than an act of hooliganism by a bunch of Apoel football hooligans after a game...Knowing the attitude of Apoel hooligans (and their political view) this does not surprise me at all, could have happened to anyone...even an Anorthosis or Omonia supporters car.

By the way....why do you have concerns about your dad living in Nicosia?

I dont know any of those teams you mention lol,

well to be honest, I'm a complete novice about the Cyprus thing & my dad only live's a stones throw from the Buffer Zone.

Well good luck then to your team.

BTW, the time I mentioned above is C.S.T. I guess you would have worked that one out already. For E.S.T add 30mins. :D

Unfortunately in Cyprus we have people so blinded by their political beliefs that they allow themselves to be prejudiced against a football team. I'm not going to argue with you about whether or not hooliganism exists in Apoel because I've admitted it. What I find peculiar is that you single out one team (the most successful team in Cyprus with a record of 46 titles)
- A team which lost countless athletes and supporters both in 55-59 and especially in 74.
- A team which reminded some of your "left teams" that waving trnc flags is not a clever thing to do in Nicosia.
- A group of supporters that objected to the phrase "Turks Screwed you in 74 we screw you in 04!"

I'd much rather associate myself with this group rather than the group you seem to find favour with.

Omonia

Have plenty more...Omonoia fans with Turkiye cascols
Istanbul since 1453 Poster etc.....

I can see how a kid in orange can piss you off.

P.S Apoel fans are more, you're also wrong at that.
Last year 117,000 tickets to Apoel
82,000 to Omonoia

This year 97,000 tickets to apoel
78,000 to Omonoia.

(numbers for home games)
