Now that sounds more like the Cyprus my Dad describes, when i voice my concerns about him living in Nicosia, to him.
Reading the responses that are given & the unbelievable bias displayed by Cypriots, on any subject that is detrimental towards Cyprus, is borderline fanatical & pathetic, to put it mildly!

This is no more than an act of hooliganism by a bunch of Apoel football hooligans after a game...Knowing the attitude of Apoel hooligans (and their political view) this does not surprise me at all,could have happened to anyone...even an Anorthosis or Omonia supporters car.

By the way....why do you have concerns about your dad living in Nicosia?

Iceman, on a serious note...can you not see why many Greek Cypriots dont FULLY believe Turkish / Turkish Cypriot allegations of crimes because there has been so many lies in the past??

A couple of famous ones are the lie that Greeks blew up the house where Ataturk was born where it was really Turkish secret forces. The lie that Greeks blew up a Turkish Cypriot newspaper bulding in the late 1950's ewhere afterwards it was admitted by Denktash that it was the TMT. This attempt by xxNilsxx is another example on a smaller scale.

There was, indeed, an incident, but physical harm wasn't brought upon the folks in question. The part of "strangling" was made up for hateful, divisive purposes. Quite curious that the "source" didn't include pictures of the "strangle" marks on the neck of the victim....
