i have been told that there is a passenger ferry going from limassol to Athens do anyone know more about this as the chap that told me cant remember the site ,now he recons it starts this may and is a new service do you know ?, I am wanting to drive a car back to uk,so i would prefer to go limassol to Athens then drive from Athens to patras then ferry from they to Italy would this be the best way ? hope you can help and links to this site i am on about would be great to maybe a contact number of a travel agent that may know ?

The only line I know is loius Lines, and when I checked last week, they had not announced their timetable for 2008 to Athens. I was told they would not be running this year? Not sure if this true though! www.louiscruises.com
There is Salamis lines that ship your car unaccompanied from Limassol - Athens and takes 2 days. Just fly to Athens and meet it at the port. Then go with Superfast, Minoan or ANEK lines to Ancona in Italy from Patras.

thanks for the fast reply m8 but do you know if i have to pay port fees as wwhen i brought it in to cyprus they were very dear ,and if your not on the ball security staff rip you off as they tried it with me lol

Paid port fees, handling, etc all at Limassol on retrieval of vehicle, as it was one way to Cyprus! Thought it was reasonable actually. We were charged what we were quoted by email?

I went last week. The ferry was a few days late going, but dropped it off at Athens and it arrived here a few days later. I picked it up at Limassol the next day. If you get stuck, I'll try and find the original email I sent last year as I remember having trouble finding it. Send me a quick PM if you get any other probs!
