I don't know if they show it in Cyprus but the best work he ever did was on a show called Blackadder. It ran for 4 series, each set in a different era of British history.

Yes Blackadder was an ingenious concentration of a great many talents, writers and actors ....

Each episode was a masterpiece.

Loved them :D

Yes, unfortunately they showed it in Cyprus in the early 90s I think. :x What a stupid show! :x I suppose it was too "english" for me. 8) :lol:

Yes, unfortunately they showed it in Cyprus in the early 90s I think. :x What a stupid show! :x I suppose it was too "english" for me. 8) :lol:

I loved Elizabeth the 1st in the series - she was great!!!

She was so watchable ... what a unique slant for "Good Queen Bess" :lol:

The actress (? name :? ) played the last woman to be hanged (Ruth Kelly?) in a great film (?) ....

(Hhhmmm ... must start watching TV again ..... all getting a bit hazy :shock: )

She is Miranda Richardson and the Ruth Ellis film was "dance with a stranger" I also liked Diana Dors film based on the same, but cannot remember the name? Normally portrayed as a big blowsy (comedy) actress I thought that she really showed her acting talent in that film.
