Yes it is the Kitchener map and the index clearly states that the christian villages had a cross after the name, moslem villages had a crescent and the mix villages did not have either......so i take it,Pano Anglasides had moslem villagers also back then.
Difficult to tell. Not in living memory even in 1963. No mention, but possible as my fathers Inn was there. Possible.

Deniz
According to this map, back in 1878 there were vilages with moslem population which no one living today remembers a single moslem associated with these villages..
Clearly the moslem population completely moved out of these villages since then..

I do not not doubt what you say Iceman. The position of my fathers HAN/Inn is testimony to this. But no one has ever mentioned that TCs ever lived up at Pano Anglissidehes, so it must have been a heck of a long time ago. The Han had been locked up and then it was derelict and ended up as a ruin, that was way back in 1954. Now the GCs have built over it, but I have the deeds.

Selamllar...I would appreciate if you could e-mail me more of the surrounding areas if you would not mind. I will PM you my e-mail address.

Selamlar again

Image Boys and girls, I'm really amazed about the hatred and stupidity I read in some postings. Some of you are (not) doing a great job for the island you say you love. I won't mention any names here, but if you are the future of Cyprus - poor Cyprus.

It's all about medieval history and an effort to grow interest in your heritage (the medieval remains all over the island). How sad that some of the board members cannot do anything else than shout, insult and threaten. Again: with sons like you - poor Cyprus.
