Did we venture out of our island to harm any Turks shahmaran? Isn't it the Turks who invaded us, killed 10s of thousands of Cypriots, oppressed us, and butchered us every time we revolted for our freedom?

Then in the 1950, during our revolt against the British, isn't it the Turks who again attacked us starting the intercommunal conflict and demanding that we should be ethnically cleansed from half of our country, a plan that they put into action some years later by ethnically cleansing 100s of thousands of Cypriots and replacing them with Turkish Settlers?

Yes, most of the blame lies with those foreign powers who used their armies, and later your minority as well, in order to deny to Cypriots their freedom and their rights.

Of course in the conflicts and wars which you started against us you also had some victims. But what did you expect? The fact is that it is you who started all the conflicts and wars, with the aim to deprive us from our lands and our rights on our island.

If it would go our way, then in 1950 (or even earlier) a peaceful democratic referendum would be held, each Cypriot would cast their vote (including the TCs) and the people of Cyprus would decide in a democratic way which of the legitimate options for de-colonization of their island they preferred.

Unfortunately the UK and Turkey didn't want to allow Cypriots to peacefully and democratically take decisions for their own island, and you were quick to side with those foreigners and attack us just because you disagreed with the democratic choice of the overwhelming majority of the Cypriot people, who after centuries of being oppressed by British, Turks and others, they finally wanted to take the decisions for their own island in a democratic way.
