The European Parliament’s High Level Contact Group for relations with the Turkish Cypriot Community arrived Cyprus .


The group will hold contacts on both side of the island during its two day visit to Cyprus.

Tomorrow, the High Level Contact Group which is headed by Francoise Grossetete will meet with President Mehmet Ali Talat and his special representative in charge of negotiations with the EU and the UN Ozdil Nami.

Later, members of the High Level Contact Group will come together with leaders and representatives of Turkish Cypriot and Greek Cypriot political parties at a round table meeting organized by the Slovakian Embassy.

They will have inspections at the newly opened crossing point at Lokmaci in the heart of the capital.

The mayor of Nicosia Turkish Municipality Cemal Bulutoglulari
and Mayor of Nicosia Greek Municipality Eleni Mavru will accompany the visiting delegation during their tour of the capital Nicosia.
