In my opinion, due to small size of TCCS; this is a justifiable provision and is a must. Otherwise, in 15 or 20 years time, TC community will become a tiny minority among GCs and foreigners in its own constituent state.[quote/]

So what your scared of Insan is a natural outcome?

I have nothing to scare of as long as there is such a provision in any plan that guarantees 2/3 majority of TC constituent state comprise of TCs or Turkish speaking people.

Insan that is not a great idea, maybe for 10-15 years you can do that so tc establish themselves and come back from abroad etc. but if we join the E.U that will be against the human rights of our fellow europeans will it not.

Brother, it is obvious that such a restriction is needed to be put on freedom of movement particularly for the interests and all kinds of rights of TC community.

In TC constituent state, all kinds of interests of TC community are paramount. Anything that directly or indirectly will harm the interests and communal existence of TC community should be restricted.

Anything that is directly or indirectly harmful for the interests of TC community cannot be accepted. TC community voted "yes" for reunification of Cyprus and joining EU only within this concept.

However if someday, two major communities of Cyprus fuse into one Cypriot nation, everything automatically and naturally will change by itself. Until then, noone can force TC community to accept something they don't believe and they don't trust.

While GC leadership and the representatives of GC community talk about the interests of Hellenism in their National Council, noone can expect TCs not to talk about their own communal or national interests.

What does the future hold for the Cyprus issue?

Very good question.

I think Turkey and Eu will come to some kind of meaningless political compromise which allows Turkey to join Eu, and the gc’s and tc’s will still continue to haggle, and hate each other until one generation finally find a solution. In the mean time nothing much is gonna change. Hope I’m wrong, but that’s the way I see it. Possible other options:

1) The turks give back a very tempting chunk of the north in return for recognition.
2) Tc grows economically, where it becomes the best interest of gc govt to accept diplomatic status of tc for the prosperity of South. (like - yup). Or to the point where tc gets de-facto recognition.
3) Tc economy collapses and turns to gc govt for support.
4) Turkey withdraws troops and recognises the gc as the entire legitimate govt of Cyprus.
5) Turkey trades Cyprus for Eu place.
6) Another war and one side completes eliminates the other.
7) We just carry on as we are, getting nowhere, and singing the same old songs.

Where are we going? Same place we’ve been going for the last thirty years. They hate us we hate them - blah blah blah…………………………………….nothing’s changing. Another couple of plans and referenda perhaps? ……………………….nah can’t really see any change. I hope I’m wrong.

9) Eu pressures gc govt into to accepting some kind of zonal system sollution, in return for Turkish commitment to Eu.
