Postby skulik » Tue May 13, 2008 8:18 pm

I am a UK citizen and am thinking of moving to Cyprus and would appreciate comments from people on here in similar situation as to what its like to live in Cyprus ?. For example, can you get really fast internet, do they have supermarkets similar to those in the UK etc.

Thanks for any info

It is awesome! :D

The Internet is faster and cheaper than the UK and the content is better too!

We have Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Marks & Sparks, Waitrose, etc. on almost every street corner as well!

Don't listen to grump! He is trying to confuse you ;) The internet is not really fast around 1-4Mb up to 10Mb, depending on where you live. We have several big supermarkets but obviously not as big as some that you can find in the UK. Cyprus is much smaller ;)

It's brilliant out here....OK broadband is not quite as good... but it's improving all the time and I'm currently on a wireless satellite system (not having a phone line yet) which is adequate...as fast as the Cyta one I had last year. Supermarkets are excellent...and I'm told Tesco's is coming over.

Just one bit of advice... rent a property until you decide where to live, or even IF you want to buy. In fact...rent my apartment if you like... I'm looking for a long term rent!

PM me your email if you'd like any more help.

DO IT....COME!!!!!

purdey, judging by the shrug of the shoulders as he said it, I am sure it was a Jew.
