That's an easy one; the settlers can go back and help rebuild devastated Turkey... 8)

No Umit, I am afraid what you have written above is the dumbest comment of the day. This is because you have not addressed my point with a sensible reply, but just insulted it without reason. Hence it is the ultimate lack of intelligence.
Do you think Turkey gives a shit if it's the second, third, fifth , millonth invasion. Lets say you win the battle, Turkey would never "turn the other cheek" . You'll be dealing with "You cut my finger , I'll cut your throat" mentality which GR has yet to understand! I guess you got away too early in 74" GR.
Of course they care you idiot! You act as if Turkey can act without a care in the world and all shall bow before it! The EU would intervene in a second invasion. There is no way it would do nothing if an EU member was invaded!
Simon you surprise me mate , never thought that you would consider a war on Turkey as an enviable option.
I do not see it as an enviable option Miltiades and you know this very well. My point is, it would be ridiculous to assert that it can NEVER be an option.

IF Turkey was removed from Cyprus, the international community (especially the EU) would not, indeed could not, allow them to invade again. Cyprus is now a member of the EU. It could not happen again. Hence, we would only need to beat them once.

This is the dumbest comment I've read all day. Anyone think they can break the record.

It's not dumb at all but your 20 something years on this planet are insufficient to comprehend the significance and international repercussions of the RoC reaching Kyrenia and hoisting her rightful flag even for one day... any further aggressive move Turkey may take thereafter would be equivalent to a second invasion.

I know you like to think that Turkey is “Conan the Barbarian” and that the Greek Cypriots should “watch out” so that your community may be allowed to continue playing her silly games, but I’m going to burst your bubble by reminding that Turkey, and the rest of the world, is much more answerable for her actions today than she was in 1974.

The TCs can take their rightful place in the RoC. Those who do not wish to do so, can leave.

The point is that no body will support such an event in the first place, not even greece. Therefore how would anyone take concrete steps against stoping Turkey. The TAF can transport 100k troops between any points in Turkey within 24 hours. Which means you wouldn't have more than 24 hours before a counter offensive.
