To the best of my knowledge the EU has yet to encompass member's military issues, which makes sense as there is no EU military force as yet.

That may be true but surely they would prevent any military confrontation by 'other' means.

You're going to have to expand on that if we're to have any chance of responding to it...

Simple. EU will say "stay put", end of story.

I suppose you ask me to expand because you have no answer?

That was not the case in 1996 and the Imia crisis when Greece almost went to war with Turkey. It was the US that intervened then and it would probably be the US that would intervene in this case too. The EU is mute in such issues

The EU will say nothing of the sought.

It will also be great for Cyprus once the EU Rapid Reaction Force is formed.

So they would also be mute if Turkey decided to attack the GCs?

I doubt it as you would be attacking EU territory. You are occupying EU territory as it is.

Still, why do you not have a go just to see what happens.

The EU has no power over Turkey so, yes. There is no EU army to defend the EU borders so the worse the EU could do in such a case is suspend all diplomatic and economic relations with Turkey, which, however would be a huge blow

But the above doesn't mean that EU member countries would not unilaterally come to Cyprus's aid
