AS I STARTED THIS POLL, AND THERE IS NOW CLEAR EVIDENCE OF TURKISH CYPRIOT PARTICIPATION, WHICH WAS CLEARLY PROHIBITED AS THIS WAS A POLL TO SAMPLE GC OPINION, THIS POLL IS HEREBY DECLARED INVALID.

What I was pointing out is 'vote rigging'. Whatever the Poll was for, doesnt matter. What you have shown is that you are prepared to 'cheat' at all costs and then expect TCs to trust a'majority'. What a joke it has become. To think that this could be reflected in 'real' life.

Absolutely! The members here represent a small sample of such inter-communal coexistence. If anything TWO things have been proven with this poll/thread:

1. The Greek Cypriot community is NOT happy with the situation and not prepared to take it lying down and thus building up its military as is their international right.

2. The Turkish Cypriot community will go to great lengths to disrupt, twist, and interfere in procedures, thinking that they can prolong their illegal hold of the northern territory and having no regard for honesty and integrity.

As for the vote forget it it's over... TC corruption and dishonesty reigns supreme! And then they talk about getting involved with these dishonest criminals in a BBF or other partensrship! They can all got to hell where they belong as far as I'm concerned.

It’s not the first time we’ve seen a poll tally unfold and nobody makes sudden “comebacks” like what we are seeing happening here. You were clearly defeated in this poll by a landslide, but TC corruption and dishonesty can’t help itself from interfering. (The poll here gives us a small taste of what must've been happening in 1960s RoC)

What you initially set out to prove fell flat on its face so admit defeat and cut the crap... it’s over.

Can you not see that T/Cs extremists have voted for you so they can then use this for propaganda purposes to point out that the G/Cs want war?

Those voted for your war , not option , but war were mislead by you. You were not advocating that war is an option but were stating clearly that IT IS the ONLY option.

Miltiades, I can not believe how unintelligent your comments are. You keep insisting on taking our point of view out of context by labelling us as war mongers which is defamatory to our character, just because we have a differing point of view on this particular subject matter. And to top it all off, your views are hypocritical as you support military intervention by the USA and yet you find it unnaceptable for Cyprus to use it's military to liberate it's territory as a final resort after all diplomatic avenues have been exhausted. What do you suggest we do when it becomes apparent that no diplomatic solution is possible? Just sit back and allow the occupation to continue unabated in perpetuity? I certainly hope that you do not.

Spineless points of view such as yours only damage the peace process as it sends the message to the TCs that we are unwilling to fight for what is rightfully ours, and this further encourages them to maintain the current status quo. You would do well to realise that your point of view indicates a weakness in our resolve to fight for our country when required. And people who are weak in their resolve end up losing, as it further encourages the occupier to maintain the current status quo, since we give her the impression that we are unwilling to do anything, and that we are spineless cowards!

How disasterously wrong you are Paphitis. Lets take it one by one.
Firstly this poll is to do with Cyprus and not the USA .
Secondly : The poll was activated following GRs post that we no longer have any other option but war. I'm not going to post this part again having done so on more than one occasion.
Thirdly: The poll was not whether war is an option but that war must take place.
Fourthly: The present political negotiations are more substantially in the favour of the ROC than at any other time since the occupation. Our EU membership ENSURES AND DICTATES THAT WE ARE NO LONGER JUST LITTLE OLD CYPRUS .
To dismiss negotiations now as totally futile and as GR puts it " History " and to opt for war is not only diabolically immature but utterly bloody stupid at a time when the omens for a solution are at the highest level ever.
Let me also clarify that I'm not a pacifist and neither would I reject a particular course of action should circumstances demand such a change.
May I say that the only T/C votes would have gone GRS WAY FOR THE SIMPLE REASON THAT IT WOULD SHOW THE G/Cs as war mongers.

Svetlana will tell you whether I voted or not. I stand for peace. If anyone will vote for war as an 'only option', as advocated by GR, then I feel sorry for them.

Most of you belong to a generation who has suffered as a result of war, which was instigated by your brethren and yet you never learn your lesson. Shame on you lot.
