Feminist psychology definitely has the answer.
So you decide to join us. Welcome! Come and play with our toys.
You guys must be crazy to cotemplate that we would just sit around and allow OUR country to suffer the indignity of occupation in perpetuity.
For someone that has resigned to the fact that no peace settlement will ever be, then the only thing that remains are our toys which are used to defend our honor and dignity. These toys are here and waiting for the day. Whether that be in 2 years or 10 years. The blessed day will come where we will see our toys rolling down the main street of Kyrenia.
I do hope that you will make it in time to take part , you do live in Australia after all , or are planning to be an armchair observe whilst our young men are dying . The blessed day !! What on earth can be blessed about war !! Lets presume that this "blessed " day does arrive and the "toys " are rolling down the streets of Kyrenia , what do you think the Turkish Air force will be doing or the 40 thousand Turkish troops already in Cyprus , oh dear I forgot they would have already been wiped out by karagiozi GR !!!
My dear Paphitis , you do surprise me , I always found your posts reasonable and mature , what changed ?
I have spent 11 years of my life serving Australia. I only have one regret in life. And that is that I have never served the CNG. Nothing would make me more proud than to be able to contribute to my country's security and well being. And I am very jeolous of Cypriot men who have done the honorable thing and served in the CNG and keep Cyprus and Cypriots safe.
If I did decide to come to Cyprus, rest assured that the CNG could use my specialist training. And Miltiades, I will come. Never been the armchair type and to be really honest, I kind of miss the adrenalin rush.
Forget the adrenalin rush , concentrate for a few moments on the blood rush , the pain and the suffering , our young men dying in a war that can never achieve the desired result , this result is the liberation of the occupied lands , defeat of Turkey militarily and dealing with our T/C compatriots .
Paphitis I know you want to contribute to the well being of our country why not do what I do and contribute wisely. Build bridges that all our people will find easy to cross , discard any ideas about wars and killings , be strong in defence but let our compatriots know that we want the best for them just as we want the best for ourselves and that can only be achieved in a united Cyprus free from occupying troops.
I have posted many times the the removal of the Turkish army can be achieved only with the support of the T/Cs and the T/Cs have to first of all place their trust in us the G/Cs.
On this forum I have remonstrated with many from both sides , BUT HAVE ALWAYS BEEN CONSISTENT IN MY VIEWS .
I have never met Bir and yet we have a a very strong and mutually shared respect for each other , I have met briefly Kikapu , Halil on more than 5 occasions and shared a drink and a bite to eat , Iceman also , not forgetting MRfromNG , and Deniz .With all these Cypriots I have established a mutual rapport and understanding.
I mention all the above because they are all T/Cs , all know where I stand on the ROC , the "TRNC" the occupied parts of Cyprus and the foreign army of occupation. I did not capitulate in order to be respected .I earned their respect and they mine , by being honest and committed to peace and justice for Cyprus and all of our people.
GR , sometime back used the most derogatory language in describing the UK G/Cs by denigrating our efforts in fighting for Cyprus the only way available to us here in the UK.
Serve your country , establish and maintain trust with those that we have to share our island with for the sake of the future generation of Cypriots.
