How you nothing to say about Canakkele and fighting at the front against the Turks . Are you the second reincarnation of Grivas?

Where on earth is "Canakkele"? :? What makes you guys think we know what places you're talking about when Turkey has suddenly changed centuries' old names?

If you want to learn about Galipoli, you can read all about it right here.

I had no idea they were talking about Gallipoli... why couldn't they just say so?

Btw, I though Gallipoli in Turkish was "Galipolu" or something like that and not "Canakkele"! :?

Well you class the 2 battles as a success when it was the Ottomans who fought them not Turkey.

Both battles were fought by Ataturk, how is that the Ottoman Empire?

The Empire was pretty much all lost in the Balkan wars by then.

The Ottoman empire was until 1923 wasn't it? Thats when those victories happened...8 years beore the collapse of the Ottoman Empire.

1923 is when the Turkish Republic was declared, the Ottoman Empire was at a fall long before that so yes it was the last remains of the "Ottoman Empire" ill give you that, but the brains behind the army was Ataturk and not some cheese ball Sultan.

I have studied it as a matter of fact and no they haven't exactly "saved our asses" but yes they were a part of the strategy Turkey followed to fight you people. It was mainly for arms smuggling since they didn't even have an army to begin with.

Almost equals Greeks invading Turkey , losing the war , and then losing vast tracts of Greek populated lands in Turkey . Any similarities to 1974 events?
