There's the city of Nicosia,
Which is near the Crimea;
People shop non-stop
And eventually drop
Every Euro at Ikea.

Never go to Akrotiri,
Where the Brits can seem dreary;
They'll pat you all down
And you'll accuse the Crown;
So goes the conspiracy theory.

Lots of hotels are in Paphos,
Including a new Raffles
For the Singaporeans
And Old Victorians,
Whose longevity baffles.

There was a young man from Polis,
Whose affliction he bore without solace.
Every evening his quad-bike did roar,
Up and down streets by the shore.
When eventually he did cease,
Paradise resumed if you please.

There was a GC name of Spiro,
With the girls he did act just like a hero.
Impressing them became his main job,
Their hearts he did flutter and throb.
His mother however, was not so impressed
and hurriedly made arrangements for him to be Wed.

A Greek and a Turk went out drinking

They stumbled back singing and stinking

A Cypriot waiter

Both Greek and Turk hater

Put his arms round them both without thinking.

Moral:- "Everyone is the same when they've had a few drinks !"

This forum has more than one nutter,
Whose opinions belong in the gutter,
I'll mention no names,
Just watch out for their games,
As their mouthes wouldn't melt any butter!

NB - not aimed at anyone in particular!

Next day the three met on the beach

They discussed a political speech

An argument started

In anger they parted

True friendship now well out of reach.

Moral:- "Beware the weasel words of the politicians !"

The Cyprob taxed many a brain,
Drove all of us nearly insane,
There's only one answer,
(No, not a belly dancer),
But that magician they call David Blayne.

Boom, boom.

The green line keeps the two sides apart,
As seen on any Cypriot chart,
Chemical warfare is easy,
When the forecast is breezy,
And communities in unison fart.

Sorry about that one!

They travel far and long, even from Rio,
Some as famous as he called Galileo,
Is it sunshine they want?,
Or their bodies to flaunt?,
No, they just want a glass of ice cold Keo!
