This is a clear case of your ineptitude in understanding that which you quoted.

It clearly states that there are a limited number of places in ONE of the universities and not the whole lot.

The reason being that it’s the only government subsidized university, so demand to enter it is HUGE, but of course that doesn’t stop people from attending the other 3-4 universities for the right price.

Indeed, I happen to pay a handsome amount p/annum for my daughter to attend one of the other ones.

Therefore, your attempt to suggest ethnic discrimination has now been debunked.

Sure GR, and IF you look REAAAAALLLLY closely into it you can even make out a cocktail recipe from it, all you need is the will for it

What this says is in fact exactly what is written, it does not say anything less nor anything more, it doesn't say you can come IF you can afford it nor it says IF you are a "true Cypriot".

It says this particular university has opened 5 places for TC students to study in each course.

Why do they even feel the need to announce something like this in the first place, if there was no discrimination as you claim so?

Obviously there is, which is why they are announcing the fact that they can either:

a) Can NOW take TC students up to a certain number as opposed to NONE

b) USED to take TC students but now have to limit their acceptance numbers for whatever reason

Either way they are discriminating their "own" people, regardless of what the reason behind it is.

You really make no sense sometimes what so ever GR, or you just choose not to when it doesn't suit your views

Shah quit talking crap. There's 35 places reserved for TC's in the university of cyprus regardless of how full the university is. Because no matter how much shit you give us we still love you and still want you to be a part of our lives.

Now shut up and apply for Byzantine Studies, you might learn something

Shah,

My daughter was unable to enter this university, but 35 Turkish Cypriots will and I don’t have any qualms about that so why do you?

Case dismissed! 8)

You need to "designate" special places for us within your universities, because you "love" us?

Can you not see the contradiction here, between loving us yet having to have to discriminate us from yourselves because of it?

Talk about talking crap ffs!

I much rather waste my money on overpriced UK universities where at least all foreigners get discriminated equally and not get discriminated in my, so called, own country! :?

In fact I think we have plenty of universities up here, so thanks but no thanks!

this is where someone jumps in and says....apologies for making you feel discriminated in our universities by reserving places for the TC"s. We should have done better.....Please take our homes in the north as a token of our regret.

I dont think you can get into the 5 simply because you are a TC

You still need to qualify, and maybe your daughter doesn't or cant afford, but the point is your daughter is not being discriminated.

The qualms is not about some piece of shit GC university i couldn't care less about, its the hypocrisy you people have towards us when you don't even see what is going on in your "EU country", if THATS what is really going on there.

Is this the kind of shit we need to start expecting from a unified Cyprus? :?

 Even knowing that lecturers of the highest caliber like GR and DT would most likely be teaching your precious children?
