Golly are there really two different worlds on Cyprus ....

Maybe I just command respect wherever I go and everyone just shows me their best behaviour or something ..... but I never see any of this bad stuff you all describe!

Bill u dont understand me m8 I`m not gonna w8 for client in airport or something but i will help people who think a lift till the airport and back should not cost him near 100 eur u think its faire ? Look i will explain what is my offer and why! One friend of mine was working here very hard (because u know cypriots like`s to exploit foreigners) and he get a phone call mother died so all his money he earned hear was enough for he`s mothers funeral so he quickly started to sell some things he had and made an extra 80 euro he already bought he`s plain tickets and he called a taxi company:
he: hello i need a lift to larnaca tonight at 01:00
taxi: ok ok "enesi problima"
he: how much will be?
taxi: its after 00:00 so it will be about 40 cyp (70 eur)
he: ok i call u back later.
He called me and he said i know its at 01:00 please take me there! As a friend i didnt charge him just the fuel! so he saved important money!
Bill just try to find the reason of my post! i tell u again i dont want to make big money from this! i u dont understand me and those people whit urgent and money related problems u are welcome to sell ur car and travel by taxi and u will feel it.

As I said you really need to get out more and presumably change your glasses to the ones where you can see the real Cyprus and not the rose tinted version.

Nothing wrong with what you have done for your friend as it was obviously a one off.

But as soon as you start getting noticed at the airport even if it's only every so often then your troubles begin .

If you do go ahead with your plan make sure you get the money off the people before you get to the airport because if the taxi drivers see money changing hands when you drop off you are in deep trouble.

As far as Cyprus is concerned absolutely nothing as I'm in the UK til monday.

If I was in Cyprus it would still be absolutely nothing as everything is perfect where I live.

Dont be affraid i`m not affraid and i deal with people with care! As u said and i say u are right Cyprus has a dark side also! dark means high pricess discrimination intoleration and other stuff! Since when if i`m a stranger i have to pay more at the entrance of the disco? or why should i pay for a taxi 5 times more than it should be? i know what u are saying!
