GR says RoC can defend itself against Turkey.

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Turkey has fought most of the main EU countries directly or indirectly in the past when it didn't even have any real means to protect herself, and still came out victorious, and you think the RoC might have a chance?

Each time Turkey got attacked was a time when they thought that was THE opportunity to attack as well....

Some people never learn

It is not a question of attacking just for the sake of causing violence and devestation. It is a case of defending our country from occupation. And our country finishes at Kyrenia and Apostolos Andreas.

As I said, I think there is no chance of a negotiated settlement. I hope I am proven wrong over this, and a fair compromise is reached and avoid any devestating war. And the ball is squarely in Turkey's court.

And yes, given the right conditions, the RoC does have a chance. Turkey's allies today could be her adversaries tomorrow. And the enemies of Cyprus today, could also be her strongest allies tomorrow. You know how it goes. Every nation will act based on it's own interests and the geopolitics of the region change over time.

Unfortunately you will not only be fighting Turkey but also the Cypriots who are living in the North, who want nothing to do with your corrupt racist Republic.

It wont only be a suicide mission for you but also the destruction of any minute hope people still have left in order to live together again.

You are forgetting the extent of the wars and the people Turkey has fought and won in the past, Cyprus is p-nut for Turkey.

Well, we never ever want to fight our TC compatriots or wish them any harm. I also beleive that many of them would probably join their other Cypriot compatriots in their struggle for freedom. I think it would mainly be the Turkish Army that is the RoCs adversary and not the TCs. And besides, give it a few more years and there will be no more TCs in occupied Cyprus as they too will be ethnically cleansed by stealth from Turkey. The majority of the population in the north is either military and Turkish Anatolian settlers already.

Don't be so sure Paphitis, I am myself a TC who's not going anywhere nor I wish to have anything to do with the Republic of the Corrupt, and I assure you that I am far from alone...

Sure, but you are a minority. You should not be so sure that relations between the TCs and the Turkish Army or the settlers are all sweet as.

You may not be going anywhere, but many TCs who are not either members of the fascistical Grey Wolves, Neopartitionist or the morally corrupt (to use someone else's terminology) who enjoy the illegal fruits and possessions of the ethnically cleansed and enjoy all the plum jobs and opportunities due to severe corruption and "trnc" nepotism for the ruling elites, will have no choice but to leave for better opportunities. This is what is happenning in your neck of the woods and in time the 110,000 TCs that live in occupied Cyprus will become 80,000 and then 50,000 and then 40,000 and then.....................................the TCs will unfortunately become an insignificant minority in the illegal state created by Turkey that was supposedly to be their saviour. Then there will be no TCs left in Cyprus except for the morally corrupt and the overwhelming part of the population will be Turkish Military and settlers. As I said, the majority of TCs will be ethnically cleansed by stealth and the only ones that remain would be the ruling elites who take advantage of the current situation and line their bank accounts with the sale of stolen properties etc.

Right, so you want nothing to do with the "corrupt" RoC but plenty to do with the "TRNC" and on top of that you have audacity to claim to be a "Cypriot compatriot" from the north!!!

As far as I'm concerned Shah, people like you are no different to the Turkish mullahs who desecrate this island and should be scorched to kingdom come... those who don't live by the law should die by the law!
