GR says RoC can defend itself against Turkey.

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

I do not think there is an army in Europe or maybe the world that does not hold the Turkish army in high esteem. They are well trained, supplied with the latest weaponry and are willing to die..

Yes, you may well be right on the highlighted part as we saw the evidence in '74 when they came to our shores and murdered, raped and killed thousands of GCs not to mention the ethinic cleansing.

Thank you for vouching for all that we have been saying all long. So really speaking, it is the GCs who should be afraid of a solution not the TCs, right? Since they are they are trained to kill in week one!!!

I don't understand the logic... why would a country like South Africa, or Germany, or Israel, hold Turkey in high regard?

So which part of Turkey's military history is it that they're admiring? The invasion of Cyprus? ...or the incursions into battered Iraq which interestingly never took place prior to 1990...

It was not meant to be a political statement, but yes I would fear the Turkish Army. The Turkish Army are run by the Turkish Army, there is very little notice taken of government. The British Army, Cypriot, Greek are monitored by government and watchdogs are put in place to safeguard treatment of their soldiers.
What I am trying to say is the Turkish army is highly trained, well supplied and focused soley on fighting. They have no watchdogs telling them to be softer or more lenient with their soldiers.

We need a war like we need a hole in our head !!

Given your ZERO experience with anything military, physical or academic, what’s the probability that your opinion is worth reading?

This what you posted !!!

First of all you know absolutely nothing either about my military knowledge or my academic background , in such situations one judges by ones comments and opinions. On the face of you assertion that Cyprus , along with.... Blackwater , can take on and presumably defeat Turkey otherwise it would be pointless to challenge Turkey , I estimate your overall knowledge of polemics to be at the same level as that currently of the Iraqi suicide bombers. I'm rather surprised that you have not indicated that along with blackwater we do not entice just a small fraction of the suicide bombers , they would not after all care too much about who they kill.
In short GR you are talking from your back passage , your talking dangerously stupidly and irresponsibly.
Can I just ask how much you would pay the mercenaries and how will you handle these predominantly USA soldiers !!!
What a Plonker !!
Can any one possibly imagine the President of the ROC stating such objectives as GR has done. The answer of course is a definite NO !!

Come on GR get with it. The Turkish Army is noted as a well trained fighting force. Wether it be numbers, modern supplies or effectiveness in excercise. If it were not the case I am sure somebody would have had a pop to see if they lived up to their reputation.

You are no better than me as I'm no better than you. everybody is equal. I can accept and I can live with that, can you?""""
GR does not represent the G/C opinion any more than his counterpart Eric Dayi .
I'm pleased that you along with so many other T/Cs are proud Cypriots and consider Cyprus as your country just as much as it is mine.
Nobody wants the T/Cs to be subservient , and most certainly no one considers you as inferior to them.
Keep your chin up and bear in mind that there are almost one million G/Cs , including those in the diaspora , that do not share GRs views.

You are forever fascinated at my suggestion of the existence of “Army’s for hire” that can be used in conjunction with one’s own military… :? now comes the million dollar question:

What exactly is it you’re so fascinated about? That they exist? That they may work closely with those that pay for them? That they’re all allegedly American?

Go on spill the beans...
